Yes, that is one of the main reasons to go custom. I connect to CRMs, ERPs, e-commerce platforms, Google Workspace, invoicing systems and anything that exposes an API.
The number of flows to cover, the user roles, the integrations with external systems and the data to migrate. An MVP on one core flow is measured in weeks, a full platform in months. A preliminary technical analysis always comes before the quote, so the estimate rests on real requirements rather than guesses.
The data is yours and lives on hosting registered in your name, inside the EU. I use parameterised queries, hashed passwords, role-based access and scheduled backups; at handover you receive the full source code and credentials.
